All right, today we’re in Lowell, Massachusetts. We’re going to be taking out this, um, 16-year-old Munchkin boiler that has sprung a leak, and we’re going to be replacing just the boiler today with a high-efficient Lochinvar made in USA Knight boiler, floor-mount boiler. Our client here is a retired plumber, and he did one hell of a job 16 years ago when he built this house putting the system in, so we’re going to be able to leave the supply and return spiral vent, all of this stuff here. But the first thing I’m going to do is run some cleaning solution through the system so that the pipes will be nice and clean for us when we get started, and Michael’s on his way here with the new Lochinvar unit. I’m going to get it drained now; we’ll check back later on. All right, we just finished up this Lochinvar Knight floor-mount boiler connected to the existing supply and return this client had. We purged the system out, flushed everything, purged the old dirt magnet out, made all of our connections, vented the flue.
New thermal expansion tank. We had to come back and replace all of these circulators because we found that four of them weren’t working, so we put in high-efficient Taco double oh seven ES that use about 3 watts of power rather than 100 watts of power, so that’s our energy savings. Identified all of the zones because nothing was marked, so now the homeowner will be able to easily tell if something isn’t working right.
