Tewksbury, Massachusetts, this Navien high efficient NCB-240E combination 3 zone heating system and tankless water heater was installed incorrectly in 2017 by some other company that is no longer in business. This client had combustible gas leaking internally caused by improper venting of this unit. We corrected the exhaust vent line and air intake line so there is proper spacing between them. Then we removed the failed heat exchanger & burner assembly. Installed new heat exchanger with new burner & igniters. Repiped the corroded piping below boiler circulator pumps, and added proper purge point. Unit now running like brand new. It’s very important to install these units to manufacturer’s specifications. If not, they will fail prematurely.
So [Music] All right, here we are today replacing a failed heat exchanger in a Navien unit that someone else installed and didn’t install it properly. So Michael and I are going to replace this heat exchanger and get this thing back to proper working order and fix up all the mistakes of the previous installer. Where’s the failed heat exchanger?
